ToolKit Generic
ToolKit User interface
The graphical user interface uses standard Windows dialogs, menus, toolbars and controls. The Multi Document Interface architecture allows you to simultaneously display multiple projects, systems and data views in separate viewing areas of the ToolKit workspace.
ToolKit project modules
- MIL217: Is a powerful reliability prediction program based on the internationally recognised method of calculating electronic equipment reliability given in MIL217 (Reliability prediction of electronic equipment, published by the US Department of Defense).
- Bellcore: This module calculates the reliability of electronic equipments based on the Bellcore (Telcordia) standard TR-332 Issue 6 (Reliability prediction of electronic equipment, published by AT&T Bell Labs).
- NSWC (Mechanical): The Mechanical module uses a series of models for various categories of mechanical components to predict failure rates. These models are detailed in NSWC 98/LE1 (Reliability prediction of mechanical equipment, published by the US Navy).
- RDF 2000: This is a French telecommunications reliability prediction standard for electrical components. RDF is a universal model for reliability prediction of electronics, printed circuit boards and equipment, which takes directly into account the influence of the environment and missions profiles representing on/off applications, dormancy etc.
- 299B: The 299B standard is a reliability prediction for electronic parts in both commercial and military applications.
- FMECA: The FMECA module provides the full framework for performing a FMECA to a variety of different standards including MIL-STD-1629A and BS 5760 Part 5.
- RBD: The RBD module is a powerful systems reliability analysis tool, which allows reliability block diagram (reliability network) analysis to be performed in an integrated environment. This module is capable of analysing large and complex reliability block diagrams
- Fault Tree: The Fault Tree module uses efficient minimal cut set generation routines to analyse large and complex Fault Trees. This module is particularly adept at predicting safety, reliability and availability parameters for system hazards. -> For more information about this module please click HERE.
- MainTain: Provides an integrated environment for prediction of the expected number of hours that a system or device will be in an inoperative or "down state" while it is undergoing maintenance. MainTain utilises techniques specified in MIL-HDBK-472 Method A to predict maintainability in quantitative terms.
- Markov Analysis: Use Markov Analysis techniques to analyse state transition diagrams. Markov provides a means of analysing the reliability and availability of systems whose components exhibit strong dependencies. Other analysis methods assume component independence, which may lead to optimistic results.
- SpareCost: This new ITEM Toolkit module calculates spares holdings for equipments supported at Sites and Base, optimising the spares at Site for minimum cost. This module is based on the Repstock and Optcost algorithms derived for the Ministry of Defence.
ToolKit library
ToolKit has comprehensive libraries available for specific applications. These include thousands of parts, with associated data parameters that will save time and reduce costs. The library management facility also allows you to create custom libraries.
